BOUTIQUE BARN RUSTIC ROMANCE
When Emma from Sweet Events Photography, asked me to join the team on the midwinter rustic styled shoot I was thrilled.
I saw this as an opportunity to step away from the more natural mason jars, wood slabs and hessian, and aspired to highlight the romantic side of rustic.
We decided to create a look using various elements from our inspiration board and our main focus was texture, complemented by a rich palette of gold, dark red, green and peach. With the space being a warm wooden colour, we chose to lighten it up by using cream, linens, candles and place settings. We selected both metal and glass as the table feature and I absolutely adore the effortlessly perfect result.
By using Kraft paper for our stationery, it allowed us to connect to the natural ambiance of the venue. It also worked really well in creating a connection between the wood and gold by bringing in a distinctive variation in colour.
Our florals were where our main focus, texture, came in. The variation in colours and grains was just seamless and they did a fabulous job of connecting all the other table details together.
The use of fruit was an amazing way to add that extra bit of colour to the tabletop. It ensured that we didn’t have colour gaps or too much of one colour in any given space. It also brought in more details to the table that would tie in the romantic and rusticness and give your guests something to talk about.
Our main challenge with this colour palette was to ensure that the table didn’t look like something out of a Christmas catalogue and I am ecstatic with how well all of the elements and suppliers worked together.
I am so thankful to have worked on this and my hope is that we are able to inspire either brides or vendors.
